4.02% Purchasing Power Parity in US 
 

Purchasing power parity refers to the number of units of a currency of one country can trade good in comparison to number of units of currency of another. In simpler words, having a stronger currency allows people to have better purchasing power parity. With around 22996.08 billion dollars earned in 2021, it is expected to remain the same in 2022 given the estimations made as of November 2022. This entails a PPP of 4.02 in US, being one of the best in the world.  

7.11% Unemployment Rate in the world 
 

With the highest unemployment rate at 34% in South Africa and the lowest unemployment rate in Indonesia of 1%, it is forecasted as of November that the unemployment rate is at 7.11% in the world. In US the percentage is at 3.67% currently, having one of the lowest unemployment rates from the 100 countries from where the data was collected. 

55% Skilled labor in US 
 

In US, as per the latest data collected, it is said that from the age group between 16-24 around 55% of this population constitutes for a skilled and capable employees. This includes all collar jobs throughout multiple industries.  

61% Population overall is available to job market in US 
 

Since the start of the decade and the previous two decades the overall US population available for job market is available has been on a constant yet slow decline. It was at 67% in 2000, in 2010 it declined to 65% and in 2020 it was at 63%. Currently, as of November 2022, in US  around 61.7% of the US population is available for job market. 

 

17% of the US population works on Part Time 

Since the start of Covid, part time workers are starting to see a gradual Incline. In 2019, nearly 26.9M people used to work on part time. This gradually dropped to 24.6M the following year. Since then, it has been on the incline and is currently at 25.4M part time workers. This figures constitutes for 17% of the total population exclusive of the 63% of the US population that work on Full-time jobs.
