61.6% of people retained their jobs in the US 

Giving the economic condition and the crisis that came along with it has brought a lot of layoff for companies who had tough years financially. Luckily, around 61.6% of the population in the US was able to retain their jobs in 2022. On the other 38.4% of the population had to be replaced or lose their current job. 

 

0.3% decline in the US workforce 

According to CBS News, it was shown that the US workforce had remained on par in comparison to last year. From November to December the workforce in the us dropped from 63.4% to 62.1% showcasing a small sized downsizing going on with the corporate sector in the us 

 

2-3% of the US workforce is quitting their jobs in the US 

According to research by Zippia, it was found that in 2022, in the normal corporate sector, around 3.4 million people quit their jobs in pursuit of either their dreams, or own businesses. The percentage of people that quit fluctuated between 2 to 3% throughout the year.  

64.8% of the US population is of working age 

According to Zippia, it was shown that US had one of the youngest populations in the world. A litmus paper test for this was seen in the fact that in the US around 64.8% of the population is of working age. This means they are either young adults or adults with working age group. 
 
59.9% of the US population is being used in labor 

Trading economics recently published an article stating that US was currently at a decline in the employment rate. It was at a healthy 60.1% when it decreased this year to around 59.9%. Although the percentage decrease is low, it has a major effect to thousands of family across the US
